Mushroom-Cheese Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, softened
    5 slices white bread (trim crust)
    2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
    5 eggs, beaten
    2 c. milk
    1 small carton fresh sliced mushrooms
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Spread butter on one side of bread slices.
    Place bread slices, butter side down, in a greased 10 x 6 x 2-inch baking dish.
