Skillet Spaghetti - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    4 c. water
    1 can tomatoes
    3/4 c. chopped onions
    1/3 c. chopped green peppers
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 lb. spaghetti
    3/4 c. tomato catsup
Preparation
    In a large deep skillet, brown beef, onions, green pepper and garlic with shortening.
    Sprinkle with salt and stir in water. Bring mixture to a boil; add spaghetti (broken into 2-inch pieces).
    Cook, uncovered, 12 to 15 minutes or until spaghetti is tender.
    Stir in tomatoes and catsup.
    Simmer about 10 minutes to blend flavors.
