Jalapeno Cornbread(Makes 8 Servings) - cooking recipe

1 c. yellow cornmeal
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
1 c. buttermilk
1 egg
1 c. flour
2 finely chopped, seeded jalapenos (3 to 4 Tbsp.)
1/4 c. melted butter
Preparation

Combine the cornmeal, flour, baking powder, jalapenos and grated Cheddar cheese in bowl.
Beat the buttermilk with the egg and melted butter; add to flour mixture.
Stir until just mixed. Pour into greased 8-inch square baking pan.
Bake in a 400\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes, or until firm.
