Squash Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 c. squash, chopped fine
    4 c. onions, chopped fine
    2 bell peppers, chopped fine
    5 Tbsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. vinegar
    5 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. dry mustard
    3/4 tsp. nutmeg
    3/4 tsp. turmeric powder
    1 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Mix the first 4 ingredients.
    Cover; let stand overnight in refrigerator, then wash and drain.
    Mix the next 6 ingredients; bring to boil.
    Add the first 4 ingredients.
    Let this get hot for about 15 minutes, then put in jars.
