7 Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, sliced
    1/2 c. celery, chopped
    10 oz. pkg. frozen peas, cooked 4 minutes
    1 pt. mayonnaise
    4 oz. shredded cheese
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    1/4 to 1/2 c. red onion, sliced
    1 tsp. sugar (optional)
    9 strips bacon, fried and crumbled
Preparation
    Place each ingredient in a large (10 x 12-inch) dish as they are listed from left to right.
    Spread evenly.
    Refrigerate 8 hours before serving.
