Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. dark brown sugar, firmly packed
    3 slices bread, buttered
    1/2 to 3/4 c. raisins
    3 eggs
    2 c. milk
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    cream
Preparation
    Sprinkle brown sugar over the bottom of a buttered Pyrex baking dish.
    Butter slices of bread and dice.
    Sprinkle over the brown sugar.
    Add raisins.
    Beat eggs, milk, salt and vanilla.
    Pour over the bread.
    Do not stir.
    Place the baking dish over simmering water and bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour.
    The brown sugar will form a sauce.
    Serve warm with ice cream.
    Serves 8.
