Butterscotch Cheesecake Bars - cooking recipe

1 (12 oz.) butterscotch chips
1/3 c. margarine or butter
2 c. graham cracker crumbs
1 c. chopped nuts
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1 (14 oz.) Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0 (325\u00b0 for glass dish).
In medium saucepan, melt chips and margarine. Stir in crumbs and nuts. Press half the mixture
firmly into bottom of greased 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
In a large mixer bowl, beat cheese until fluffy. Beat in Eagle Brand, vanilla and egg. Mix well.
Pour into prepared pan. Top with remaining crumb mixture. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool to room temperature. Chill before cutting into bars. Refrigerate leftovers.
