Ingredients

4 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. butter
3 eggs
Preparation

Sift together the flour, soda and salt.
Cream butter and slowly stir in sugar.
Beat until smooth; add eggs one at a time and beat well.
Stir in vanilla.
Stir in flour mixture, mixing well.
Cover dough and chill until firm enough to roll out.
Roll out on floured board, making dough 1/4-inch thick.
Cut out with cookie cutters and place on greased cookie sheets.
Bake for 8 minutes at 350\u00b0.
