Chocolate Nut Slices - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising flour
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla flavor
    1 egg
    6 Tbsp. cocoa
    2 Tbsp. milk (more, if needed)
    3/4 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Sift flour and cocoa.
    Cream together shortening, sugar and flavor.
    Beat in egg.
    Add milk.
    Blend in dry ingredients and nuts.
    Shape into two rolls, 2-inches in diameter.
    Chill several hours.
    Slice into 1/4-inch slices.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for about 10 minutes.
    Cool on rack.
    Serves 7 dozen.
