New England Apple Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. McIntosh apples, thinly sliced
    1 egg
    3/4 c. chopped walnuts
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. cream
    1 c. melted butter
    whipped cream or ice cream
Preparation
    Place apple slices in 2-quart buttered casserole.
    Mix in 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup walnuts and cinnamon.
    Set aside.
    Beat egg and add cream and melted butter.
    Combine flour, baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1 cup sugar.
    Add to egg mixture.
    Stir until smooth.
    Pour over apples.
    Sprinkle with nuts.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 to 350\u00b0 for 55 minutes.
    Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
