Melting Moments - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or margarine (1 stick)
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
pinch of salt
rolled oats
candied or maraschino cherries
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar until soft and white.
Beat in eggs.
Add flour and salt, sifted together.
Make into a firm dough.
Dampen your hands.
Roll dough into balls about the size of a walnut and roll into the rolled oats.
