Cheese-Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen, chopped broccoli
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can chicken broth
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. grated lemon peel
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    dash of pepper
Preparation
    In colander, thaw broccoli under hot tap water. In a large saucepan, cook and stir onion in butter, about 2 minutes.
    Stir in flour.
    Add chicken broth and milk.
    Heat and stir until mixture comes to a boil. Cook and stir 1 minute.
    Add chopped broccoli. Add cheese and lemon peel.
    Heat and stir until cheese melts. Serves 4.
