Patti'S Penny Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium potatoes
    1/4 c. butter
    1 (10 oz.) can cream of chicken soup
    1/3 c. green onion
    1 1/2 c. grated cheese
    1 c. sour cream
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/3 c. cornflake crumbs
Preparation
    Peel and cook potatoes until almost tender; cool.
    Shred or grate potatoes into a large bowl.
    Melt 1/4 cup butter in a medium saucepan.
    Add soup and mix until blended.
    Add onion, cheese and sour cream.
    Mix until blended.
    Add to potatoes and mix well. Spread in 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Melt 2 tablespoons butter and add cornflake crumbs.
    Sprinkle over top of potatoes.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
    Great with ham, turkey or chicken.
