Texas Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 lb. lean meat, cubed
    2 medium onions, diced
    3 cloves garlic, diced
    shortening or oil
    2 Tbsp. paprika
    6 Tbsp. chili powder
    2 Tbsp. whole or ground cumin
    salt to taste
    small amount flour or cracker meal
Preparation
    Toast cumin (if whole) lightly.
    Saute onions and garlic in oil.
    Sear meat until greyish color.
    Place all in large pot.
    Add water to cover.
    Let simmer, stirring often, for 1 1/2 hours.
