Cabbage Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 c. cooked rice
    1 small chopped onion
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 egg
    4 to 6 cabbage leaves
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1/4 c. water
    oil
Preparation
    Mix ground beef, cooked rice, chopped onion, salt, pepper and egg together.
    Trim off thickest part of stem from cabbage leaves. Divide meat into equal portions wrapped in a leaf, fasten with wooden picks.
    Brown cabbage rolls slightly in oil.
    Add tomato sauce and water.
    Cover and simmer slowly for 40 to 50 minutes.
