Sweet Fresh Lima Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. corn oil
2 medium onions, chopped fine
4 c. fresh lima beans or 2 pkg. frozen (10 oz. each or one 16 oz.)
1/2 tsp. minced garlic
1 tsp. salt
1 3/4 tsp. sugar
4 1/2 c. hot water
Preparation

Saute onions in oil until golden brown, stirring frequently. Add 1/2 cup water and cook for 10 minutes; repeat 1 more time, then add lima beans and smother for 15 minutes. Add hot water, salt and sugar. Cook, partially covered, for about 40 minutes or until gravy is kind of thick.
