Rhubarb Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. butter or oleo
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1/3 c. milk
    3 Tbsp. flour
    3 egg yolks
    3 c. rhubarb
Preparation
    Mix flour, 2 tablespoons sugar, butter or oleo and salt.
    Pat in 9 x 9-inch pan and bake 20 minutes at 325\u00b0.
    While baking, put 1 1/4 cups sugar, milk, 3 tablespoons flour and egg yolks in saucepan.
    Mix well, then add rhubarb.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly.
    When mixture is thick and rhubarb soft, pour over crust.
    Top with meringue of 3 egg whites and 1/4 cup sugar. Bake until brown.
    (May use frozen rhubarb.)
