Divinity Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    2/3 c. Karo
    1/3 c. water
    2 egg whites
    1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook the sugar, Karo and water slowly until starts to spin a thread.
    Beat the egg whites stiff and add about 1/3 syrup to this. Beat.
    Put the remaining syrup back on the stove and cook a few minutes longer.
    Pour another 1/2 of this in the egg white mixture and beat.
    Put the remaining syrup back on fire and cook until crack stage when dropped in cold water.
    Take off stove and add remaining syrup to egg white mixture.
    Beat.
    Add the pecans and vanilla and beat until stiff.
    Pour in buttered platter.
