Southern Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    3 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Cream the shortening and sugar; add the eggs gradually. Sift and add the flour, baking powder and salt alternately with the milk. Turn onto a floured board; roll out 1/4-inch thick. Cut into rounds. Place on a greased baking sheet and bake 12 to 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
