Cream Of Anything Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. chopped vegetable (your choice)
    1/2 c. margarine
    2 to 3 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 gal. milk
    2 to 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1 tsp. basil
    1 c. cooked rice (optional)
Preparation
    Steam vegetables until tender.
    In blender puree a third of vegetables using water cooked in.
    Melt margarine in large pot. Add flour, stirring until it begins to brown.
    Slowly add milk. Add both pureed vegetables and steamed vegetables, soy sauce, basil and rice.
    Simmer 20 minutes.
    Do not boil.
