Zurich Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. Crisco
    1/2 c. sugar
    grated peel of 1 lemon
    3 eggs
    1 2/3 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    3 Tbsp. milk
    3 apples, peeled and cut in quarters
    1 tsp. powdered sugar
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar in a bowl until fluffy.
    Add grated lemon peel; add eggs, one at a time, beating after each.
    Sift flour and baking powder while mixing.
    Add milk, 1 tablespoon at a time.
    Mix until smooth.
    Pour ingredients into a greased round pan.
