Green Tomato Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 gal. green tomatoes, sliced
    10 green sweet peppers, sliced
    6 red sweet peppers, sliced
    6 hot green peppers, sliced
    10 large onions, sliced
    3/4 c. salt
    boiling water
    3 c. sugar
    vinegar
Preparation
    Combine the first five ingredients.
    Sprinkle with salt and cover with boiling water.
    Let stand 3 hours.
    Drain and add sugar and enough vinegar to cover ingredients.
    Boil 15 to 20 minutes. Put in cans and seal.
