*Red Cabbage With Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2 1/2 lb.) head red cabbage, shredded
    1/4 c. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine
    2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. boiling water
    3 sliced, pared, cored, large cooking apples
    1 1/2 tsp. flour
    1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
    just a sprinkle of pepper
Preparation
    Put shredded cabbage in kettle.
    Add boiling water and cook, covered, for 10 minutes.
    Add apples and cook for 10 minutes or until tender.
    Add the rest of the ingredients combined.
    Heat thoroughly.
    Serves 6 to 8.
