Sweet-Sour Meatballs - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. lean ground meat
1 pkg. onion soup mix (Lipton)
1 c. cracker crumbs
3 beaten eggs
1 can whole cranberry sauce (16 oz.)
1 can sauerkraut (16 oz.), drained
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. barbecue sauce
2 lb. lean beef chuck or round steak or venison
1 Tbsp. browning sauce
1/4 c. dry Cream of Rice cereal
4 carrots (1 1/2-inch chunks)
2 c. thinly sliced onions
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 to 1 tsp. dried marjoram, crushed
1/2 to 1 tsp. dried thyme, crushed
1 jar button mushrooms, undrained
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. dry red wine or beef broth

Preparation

Cook noodles.
In Dutch oven or large casserole, toss meat with browning sauce.
Mix in cereal.
Add all the remaining ingredients, except noodles.
Cover and bake at 325\u00b0 for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until the meat and vegetables are tender
Serves with noodles.
Yields 8 servings.
