Melting Lace - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1 c. quick cooking oats
1/2 c. light brown sugar
4 (1 oz.) sq. semi-sweet chocolate
1/3 c. unsifted flour
2 Tbsp. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease 2 cookie sheets; set aside.
In a medium saucepan, melt butter.
Remove from heat.
Stir in remaining ingredients, except chocolate.
Drop batter by level teaspoon 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.
Bake 6 at a time.
Bake 7 to 9 minutes or until lightly browned.
Remove from oven.
Let stand for 1 minute, then quickly remove to flat surface to cool.
Melt chocolate over hot, not boiling, water.
With small spatula, spread chocolate on one cookie and sandwich with another.
