English Rolled Wafers - cooking recipe

1/2 c. molasses
1/2 c. butter or oleo
1 c. flour (scant)
2/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. ginger
Preparation

Heat molasses to boiling point. Add oleo, then slowly, stirring constantly, add flour sifted with ginger and sugar. Drop small portions on greased inverted cookie pan 2-inches apart. Bake 15 minutes at 300\u00b0. Cool slightly. Remove from pan and roll over handle of wooden spoon. If they get too hard, put in oven for a second. Nuts may be added if desired.
