Grandma'S Crumb Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. box raisins
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. Crisco
    2 c. buttermilk
    2 tsp. baking soda
    4 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Cook box of raisins until plump.
    Use just enough water to almost cover the raisins in a small pan.
    Let cool.
    Rub together brown sugar, white sugar and Crisco (save out about 1 cup of mixture for topping).
    Beat until foamy 2 cups buttermilk (or sour milk) with 2 teaspoons of baking soda.
    Add flour, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg (and others if desired).
    Add sugar mixture to flour with milk.
    Stir well.
    Add raisins.
    Mix well.
    Pour into 1 large and 1 small greased and floured pans.
    Add sugar topping. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
