Aunt Roosie'S Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1/2 c. warm water
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 c. hot water
    1/3 c. shortening
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    flour
Preparation
    Combine yeast, 1/2 cup warm water and 1 teaspoon sugar and let rise until makes 1 cup.
    In a large bowl, mix 1 cup hot water, shortening, 1/4 cup sugar, salt and flour.
    Cool to lukewarm.
    Add yeast mixture and enough flour to make a stiff dough.
    Let rest 5 minutes.
    Knead until elastic, about 10 minutes.
    Put in greased bowl and let rise until double in bulk.
    Punch down.
    Make into rolls.
    Let rise and bake at 350\u00b0.
