Cherry Cake (Pound Or 13 X 9) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. plain flour (prefer cake flour)
    3 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. Crisco
    6 eggs
    3/4 c. milk
    1 small bottle maraschino cherries, chopped
Preparation
    Cream sugar, shortening and eggs.
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Add with milk.
    Add chopped cherries and juice.
    Pour batter into greased and floured pan.
    Bake 1 1/2 hours for pound cake or 1 hour in a 13 x 9-inch pan, until done.
