Rich White Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
3 c. cake flour
7/8 c. milk
3 tsp. baking powder
5 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
Preparation

Cream butter until light and fluffy; gradually add sugar and cream until light.
Sift the flour; measure and sift with baking powder.
Add the flour alternately with the liquid and add extracts.
Beat smooth between each addition.
Whip the egg whites until just stiff, but not dry and carefully fold them in.
Bake in 2 layers or sheet cake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
