Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

4 c. flour
4 c. cornmeal
2 1/2 Tbsp. baking powder
1 1/4 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. salt
1 small chopped onion (optional)
milk (enough to make a thick batter)

Preparation

Mix all ingredients and drop by teaspoonfuls into hot oil. When brown, remove and drain on paper towels.
