Date Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. pitted dates
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    2 c. Rice Krispies
Preparation
    Melt butter in large saucepan.
    Beat egg; add sugar to egg, then add egg mixture to melted butter.
    Add dates and nuts.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until dates soften.
    Add Rice Krispies and mix well.
    Let cool long enough to roll into balls, then roll in powdered sugar or coconut.
