Layered Tortilla Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 can tomato sauce
    1 can sliced ripe olives, drained
    1 tsp. chili powder
    dash of salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    6 corn tortillas
    2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Brown beef, onion and garlic.
    Drain.
    Add tomato sauce, olives, chili powder, salt and pepper.
    In a round 2-quart casserole, alternate layers of tortillas, meat, sauce and 1 1/2 cups of cheese.
    Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup cheese over top.
    Pour water at edge of casserole bottom.
    Cover and bake at 400\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Uncover, let stand 5 minutes, cut into wedges.
    Yields 4 servings.
