Chewy Butterscotch Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick (1/2 c. ) oleo
    1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Melt butter in saucepan.
    Add sugar and bring to boil over low heat, stirring constantly.
    Cool slightly.
    Drop in eggs, one at a time, mixing well.
    Add vanilla and sifted dry ingredients.
    Stir in the nuts.
    Pour into the pan (bottom rubbed with butter).
    Bake in a moderate oven (350\u00b0) for about 30 minutes.
    Cool.
    Cut into squares.
