Ding Bats - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. chopped dates
    1 c. sugar
    1 stick margarine
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. Rice Krispies
Preparation
    Mix the first 4 ingredients together and cook on low heat until nice and smooth.
    Remove from stove and add vanilla and Rice Krispies.
    Cool 5 minutes; shape into small balls with your hands. Roll in chopped nuts or coconut.
