Brandy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. brown sugar
    4 c. regular sugar
    6 qt. boiling water
    3 large cans peaches in syrup
    2 boxes white raisins
    2 thinly sliced oranges
    1/4 c. lemon juice
    2 tsp. yeast
Preparation
    Dissolve sugar in boiling water.
    Mix 2 teaspoons yeast, 2 teaspoons sugar and 1 cup warm water together.
    Then add to water and sugar mixture.
    Add fruit and cover.
    Let sit 6 weeks; then fill jars to top.
    Leave room for expanding.
