Oyster Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 onion, chopped
    2 stalks celery, chopped
    1 c. milk, 1 c. half and half or 2 c. milk
    1 pt. oysters and liquor
    1/2 c. crumbled saltines
    1/2 tsp. paprika
Preparation
    Brown onion lightly in skillet.
    Add celery and heat through. Place in top of 2-quart double boiler.
    Add milk and oysters.
    Heat in double boiler 15 minutes or until oysters curl.
    Add crumbled crackers and paprika.
    Heat 5 minutes more.
    Serve with saltines. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
    May add 1/2 teaspoon savory for a nice flavor addition.
