Nancy Reagan'S Vienna Chocolate Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 sticks butter or margarine
1 1/2 c. sugar, divided
2 egg yolks
2 1/2 c. flour
1 (10 oz.) jar raspberry jelly
1 c. chocolate chips
4 egg whites
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. finely chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream butter with egg yolks and 1/2 cup sugar. Add flour and knead with fingers.
Pat out on greased cookie sheet 3/8 inch thick.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes until lightly browned. Remove from oven and spread with jelly and top with chocolate chips.
Beat egg whites with salt until stiff.
Fold in remaining cup of sugar and nuts. Gently spread on top of jelly and chocolate.
Bake for about 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
