Fried Peach Pies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dried peaches
    3 c. water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. shortening
    pie pastry
Preparation
    Soak
    peaches
    in
    cold
    water overnight.
    Cook in same water for
    flavor.
    Cook
    until\ttender.
    Mash
    peaches\tand sweeten to own taste.
    Add cinnamon, vanilla and remainder of sugar,
    if needed.
    Cut pastry dough in circles about 6-inches in diameter. Place the amount of peaches you want in each pie on the pastry. Fold
    over\tand
    press
    edges
    together with a fork.
    Fry in shortening until brown on both sides.
