Meatballs With Mushroom Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

10 slices bacon
2 lb. ground beef
1 c. finely chopped onions
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 c. bread crumbs
1 crushed garlic clove
2 eggs
salt
pepper
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
1 lb. mushrooms, sliced
2 1/2 c. canned mushroom soup
1 c. red wine
Preparation

Cook the bacon in a large skillet until brown and crisp. Remove and drain on paper towels, reserving the fat from the bacon. Put the ground beef in a large mixing bowl.
Cook the chopped onions in the butter until they are soft but not brown.
Remove the onions and add them to the beef.
Lightly brown the bread crumbs and crushed garlic in the pan used for the onions, adding a little more butter if needed.
Put the bread in with the beef and onions. Add the eggs, salt, pepper and oregano.
Mix the ingredients well until they are thoroughly blended.
