Barbecue Sauce By R. D. Brooks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. ketchup
    2 gal. white vinegar
    1 qt. prepared mustard
    1/2 lb. butter
    1/2 c. salt
    6 lb. brown sugar
    1 small box black pepper
    1 small box red pepper
Preparation
    Mix and simmer for 30 minutes.
    This recipe makes 3 gallons of sauce.
    I usually pour the sauce back into the vinegar jars while it is hot and the jars will seal.
    I keep the rest in the refrigerator.
