Key Lime Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs, separated
    1 (14 oz.) c. sweetened condensed milk
    3/4 c. fresh lime juice
    zest of lime
    9-inch pie shell, baked and cooled
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
    Beat egg yolks until creamy.
    Fold in condensed milk, beat lightly.
    Stir in lime juice and zest.
    When thickened, pour into pie shell.
    Beat egg whites until very stiff and peaks form.
    Slowly add sugar.
    Add vanilla when all the sugar is added.
    Spread over pie.
    Brown under broiler until meringue is golden.
    Chill before serving.
