Sania (Hamburg In The Oven) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. good quality ground beef
    2 onions, finely chopped
    2 Tbsp. finely chopped parsley
    salt and pepper
    1 tsp. allspice
    5 or 6 potatoes, peeled and halved
    oil or butter
    1 can (15 oz.) tomato puree
    1 can peas (or green beans) with juice
Preparation
    Mix meat, onions, parsley well and season with the salt and pepper and allspice.
    Press into a roasting pan to form a flat loaf about 1-inch thick.
    Place in a 350\u00b0 oven and brown for about 1/2 hour (meat will shrink a little from sides of pan).
    While this is browning, brown the potato halves in hot oil in a skillet until they form a crust.
    Put aside.
