Yeast Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. yeast
1 c. warm buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
1/2 c. shortening
melted butter
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in warm buttermilk. Set aside.
Sift soda, salt, sugar and flour in bowl. Cut in shortening. Add yeast mixture. Stir until blended. Knead and roll 1/2 inch thick. Cut out biscuits and dip in melted butter.
