California Salad(Makes 6 To 8 Servings) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, broken in small chunks
    2 small bunches green onions, sliced
    2 cans sliced water chestnuts, drained
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, thawed
    1 c. mayonnaise
    8 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
    3 hard-boiled eggs, sliced (optional)
    Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Layer ingredients in bowl (a deep glass bowl is nice, to show off the ingredients).
    Spread mayonnaise on top of all.
    Sprinkle generously with Parmesan cheese.
    Cover with Saran and refrigerate several hours or overnight.
    Mix slightly before serving.
