Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large cans stewed tomatoes
    1 medium can corn
    1 medium can green beans
    1 medium can carrots, drained
    1 medium can okra, drained
    1 large onion, chopped
    3 medium potatoes, chopped into bite size pieces
    1 stick butter
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 tsp. Texas Pete (optional)
    2 dashes garlic powder
Preparation
    Put tomatoes with juice in large pot.
    Add all other ingredients.
    Stir well.
    Simmer covered for about 2 hours.
    You may have to add a little water as the soup cooks.
    You can use V-8 tomato juice.
