Carrot Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 large onion
    2 cloves garlic
    1 tsp. thyme, marjoram, salt and pepper
    8 c. chicken broth
    6 large potatoes
    8 to 10 large carrots
    1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    In large pot, pour oil and heat slightly.
    Add chopped onion and minced garlic.
    Add peeled, cut-up carrots and potatoes. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, marjoram and thyme.
    Toss vegetables; cover pot and cook for 30 minutes or until vegetables are slightly soft.
    Pour 8 cups of chicken broth over vegetables and cook for 20 minutes.
    Puree soup in blender and return to pot; add milk and heat slightly.
