Tostado Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 onion, chopped
    14 oz. can red kidney beans, drained
    1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 head lettuce, torn into pieces
    4 oz. Cheddar cheese, shredded
    6 to 8 oz. pkg. tortilla or taco chips
    1 large avocado, sliced
    4 tomatoes, cut into wedges
    1 c. Thousand Island dressing
Preparation
    Brown ground beef in skillet.
    Combine taco seasoning mix and salt with ground beef.
    Simmer for 10 minutes.
    Combine lettuce, beans, cheese, chips, avocado and tomatoes, saving a few chips for garnish.
    Add ground beef and toss lightly.
