Crispy Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 gal. cucumbers (cut in chunks or strips)
1 gal. water
2 c. salt
1 gal. water
3 Tbsp. alum
1 qt vinegar
2 qts. sugar
3 tsp. dry mustard
2 tsp. turmeric
mixed spice to taste
Preparation
-
Boil above and pour over cucumbers.
Boil liquid and pour back over cucumbers every day for 3 days.
On the 4th day pack cucumbers in jar.
Boil liquid and pour over cucumbers and seal.
