Valentine'S Float - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. cherry or strawberry ice cream
    1 qt. strawberry or cherry soda
    4 marshmallows
    4 maraschino cherries
Preparation
    Put large scoop of ice cream in a large tall glass.
    Put in a small amount of soda; mix just a little, so you still have pieces of ice cream floating in it.
    Pour in soda to fill the glass.
    Use a butter knife or spoon to make a slit in a marshmallow just deep enough to hold a cherry that you push inside.
    With a spoon, set the marshmallow on top of your float.
    Serve with straws.
